The Framingham library system consists of two
branches--the Main Library in downtown Framingham, and the McAuliffe
Branch in Saxonville.

The library's 352,500 materials include
300,900 books, 23,000 tapes and CDs, and 21,900 videos and DVDs. We subscribe
to 398 magazines and newspapers.

Last year, library users checked out more than
918,990 items from the two library branches, got answers to over
114,992
reference questions, and had the opportunity to attend nearly
570 programs, from preschool stories hours to author visits.

44,000 people held Framingham library cards in June of
2006.

In FY 2006, the Main Library was open
3254 hours and
the McAuliffe Branch was open 3099 hours.
