Ask a Librarian Form
What kinds of questions may I ask?
You can ask for:
-
Brief answers to factual questions.
-
Help with search strategies, including finding
information on the Internet, e.g.: Where should I start my research
on...? I've looked at these web sites to find information
on.....Where else should I look?
-
Information on library resources and services, e.g.:
How can I obtain a book that's not listed in your online
catalog? How do I get a copy of an article from this magazine?
We can answer up to three questions at a time.
The Ask a Librarian email reference service is
unable to perform lengthy research. Please visit the Main Library
reference department for research assistance.
Local History questions: Ask a Librarian will
search local history sources for those who are unable to visit the
library. Research on these questions is limited to one-half
hour. For $.25 per page, local history information will be
photocopied and mailed.
