Drop-in Baby Lapsit Storytime at McAuliffe

Come sing and play with words, rhyme and puppets at baby lapsit time. Parents can network while babies pick up phonological awareness, one of six foundations of future reading success. This informal program for babies and their parents/caregivers runs about 20 minutes and introduces the pleasures of the library to your baby or toddler.

Movie Matinee: Secret Life of Pets

Max, a terrier, has his favorite-pet status turned upside-down when his owner takes in a stray named Duke. Also, it reveals the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day.

All ages at parents’ discretion. Rated PG for action and some rude humor.

Book Buddy Reading to Dogs

Improve your reading skills the fun way by reading aloud to your new Book Buddy. Certified Reading/Therapy Dogs, Lilah and Eloise, listen as children read aloud from a book of their choice.
