McAuliffe Branch Book Group: The Girl You Left Behind, by JoJo Moyes

Artist Edouard Lefevre leaves his young wife and their small town in France to fight at the front in WW I. Young Sophie will risk her family, her reputation, and her life to see her husband again. Edouard’s portrait of Sophie surfaces almost a century later in London when it is given to Liv Halston by her young husband shortly before his sudden death. This historical novel combines two love stories around the mystery of what happened to “The Girl You Left Behind.”
