  • To ensure the availability of a pass on a particular day, advance reservations are strongly encouraged.

Pass Policies

NOTE: There are three types of passes: returnable passes checked out to your library card, coupons that must be picked up but are not returned, and e-vouchers, which are emailed/texted to you and do not require you to visit the library.

  • Returnable and coupon passes are available for pickup at the Main Library Reference Desk.
  • Passes may be picked up the day before your reservation or the day of your reservation by 11am. The library reserves the right to give the pass to another patron if you do not pick up the pass by 11am on the day of your reservation.
  • Patrons must present the valid Minuteman library card used to reserve the museum pass when picking up a returnable pass. 
  • The library card account must be in good standing to reserve or checkout a pass. 
  • Maximum number of active reservations for a specific pass per patron: 1
  • Maximum number of total active reservations per patron: 4
  • Maximum number of reservations per patron per day: 2

Returning Passes (Returnable passes only)

  • Returnable passes will be checked out to your card. Please check the due date on your account and return the pass on that date.
  • To ensure that your pass is checked in promptly, please return the pass to the Main Library Reference Desk, or the Main Library book-drop after hours. 
  • There will be a charge of $5.00 per day for late returns. 

EBT Cards

If you have an EBT card, you can get discounted tickets without having to reserve a museum pass. See the list of museums and other cultural attractions you can visit for deep discounts (or for free) by showing your EBT card.

    2. Visit https://www.bostonchildrensmuseum.org/ticketing.  Review the directions for timed tickets.
    3. Click on the "Discount Programs" & drop down arrow. Click on "Half Price Library Timed Ticket " to book. Online reservations are required to visit PlaySpace.
    4. The date on the library discount pass must match the date of your visit.
    5. After arriving at the Museum, proceed to the admissions scanning station with your online reservation and the date specific library discount pass. You can either print it out and take it with you or display the pass on your phone or device. Either way, please be sure that the pass barcode is visible.

    A local treasure right here in Framingham, Garden in the Woods is the headquarters and botanic garden of the New England Wild Flower Society. Open from April through October, "this ever-changing living museum - New England's premier wildflower garden - has more than 1600 kinds of plants, with many rare and endangered native specimens throughout the gardens, as well as the unique 'New England Garden of Rare and Endangered Plants.'"

    One of the most comprehensive museums in the world, the MFA in Boston encompasses nearly 450,000 works of art. The treasures here are from every era and all parts of the world.     The mission of the Museum of Science is "is to stimulate interest in and further understanding of science and technology and their importance for individuals and for society." Exhibits include live presentations, an IMAX theater, and a planetarium.

    The Worcester County Horticultural Society operates Tower Hill Botanic Garden as its headquarters on 132 acres in Boylston, Massachusetts. Here you can stroll through formal gardens and woodlands, and explore the arboretum.
