Shop Amazon and Support the Library

There are two ways to shop Amazon and support the Library -- at no cost to you:

  • Register at smile.amazon.com. Enter "Framingham Public Library Foundation," or choose "FPLF" from the listing of charities. (FPLF is the third listing starting with Framingham.) Once you have registered, all of your future Amazon purchases will automatically credit the FPLF with 0.5% of your purchases.
  • Go to Amazon by clicking the Amazon icon or here on the Framingham Public Library website, and 0.5% of your purchases will be donated to the Foundation. Note: If you choose to contribute this way, you must enter Amazon from the FPL website every time you wish to make a donation.

Donate Your No-Longer-Needed Books, DVDs, and CDs to the Library

It's All About the Books! Book sales are our bread and butter, and we are always willing to accept donations of gently-used books free of stains, rips, and mold. Small donations- up to 3 grocery bags- can be left at either library. For larger donations, please call Emily Olson at 508-861-9032, or email us at fplfriends@minlib.net to arrange a time for drop off.

Sorry, but we cannot accept encyclopedias, cassette tapes, or VHS tapes.

Volunteer

There are many opportunities available to volunteer at FPL, including becoming a Homework Tutor, teaching English, helping in the Literacy Unlimited Office, and more. Click here for more details.

Join the Friends of the Framingham Library

The Friends of the Framingham Library take an active interest in the development and use of the library system, focus attention on its needs as well as its services to the community, and provide items not included in the library budget. They organize and run successful monthly book sales. They also sponsor programs for children, teens, and adults; purchase books for the summer reading list; and provide passes for museums. Donate to the Framingham Public Library Foundation

The Trustees of the Framingham Public Library (FPL) established the Framingham Public Library Foundation (FPLF) to create a legacy for the future of both Framingham libraries. As the Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, your contributions are tax deductible. The Foundation’s long-term goal is to create an endowment fund that will supplement, but not replace, funds received from the Town of Framingham. Learn more.
