Framingham Regional Justice Center and the Main Library: What you need to know

Exciting progress is happening around the library!

Beginning Monday, July 13, the Framingham Public Library parking lot on Lexington Street is temporarily closed to all parking except for handicap accessible parking. For all others, parking is available nearby. Here’s where to find it:

  • Union Avenue: A temporary lot for library patrons is available in front of the former Danforth building (see map below). You can enter and exit the lot from both Pearl and Lexington Street. Free parking and metered parking is also available on Union Ave. Check street signs for time limits.
  • Pearl Street: Free parking is available. Check street signs for time limits.
  • Lincoln Street: Free parking is available. Check street signs for time limits.
  • Sanger Street: Free parking is available. Check street signs for time limits.
  • Concord Street: Metered parking is available.
  • Lexington Street: Parking is not available on Lexington Street during construction of the new Regional Justice Center.

HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE PARKING
Handicap accessible parking is still available in the Lexington Street lot as indicated in the map below.

Visitors should expect possible changes to parking, traffic flow, and pedestrian access. Please follow posted signage, allow extra time when visiting, and use caution near active work zones. Please respect local businesses and avoid parking in any reserved lots.

Thank you for your patience and support as this important project moves forward. We are grateful to our community for helping us keep the area safe and accessible during construction.
