Framingham Regional Justice Center and the Main Library: What you need to know

Demolition of the former Danforth Museum to make way for the new Framingham Regional Justice Center may begin as early as May. During demolition, the Main Library parking lot will be unavailable.

When construction begins, you can find a temporary parking lot in front of the former Danforth building. Street parking on Lincoln Avenue, Union Avenue, and surrounding side streets remains open to patrons. However, Lexington Street will become a one-lane road. There will be no parking on Lexington Street to avoid blocking the roadway.

The City of Framingham will construct a new parking lot for the Main Library, expected to be available by the fall.

If you're unfamiliar with the Framingham Regional Justice Center, it will be one of the first in the Commonwealth to meet the Clean Energy and Climate Plan for 2050. This state-of-the-art facility will feature geothermal and solar energy as well as sustainable construction materials.
