Teen Tech Time: Scratch Programming (ALL SPOTS FILLED)

Teen Tech Time is a new program that will run during the spring and fall of 2017. The Framingham Public Library will be teaming up with Empow Studios to provide a series of STEAM programs focusing on programming, tech design, animation, robotics and more!

Scratch the surface of programming with Scratch! Developed by M.I.T, Scratch is one of the most engaging ways to teach kids to code. Students learn the basics of computer programming by arranging puzzle-like blocks into lines of code in a drag-&-drop graphical interface. Possible projects include video games, animations, simulators, and even role-playing games. After the class, projects are shared with family and friends, and everyone can continue to work on their projects from home.

Space is limited, and currently the program is full. If you'd like to be placed on the waitlist, please contact our teen librarian John Garrigan at, and he will get back to you if a spot opens up.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Framingham Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
