Social Services at the Main Library
Are you a patron in need of support from a social worker? Day Kolz is the Framingham Public Library social work intern. They are here to assist you in a number of areas, including:
- Hosting office hours at the library with privacy and convenience
- Assessing your needs, including mental and behavioral health needs
- Connecting you with existing resources to address those needs
- Helping you apply for public benefits, such as MassHealth, SNAP, and much more
These are a few of the ways that Day can help you. All services they provide are free.
To get started, stop by their office in the study room on the first floor of the Main Library Thursdays from 12–2PM, or schedule a 30-minute appointment with Day online. If you need more than 30 minutes, you can schedule two consecutive meetings.
Day is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. If other times are needed, email Day at dkolz.fpl@minlib.net or call them at 508-532-5570 x4362. Let them know what you need assistance with. Day can refer you to a related community resource or organization.
If you have housing needs, food insecurity, or other issues, you have an advocate ready to help. You don't have to struggle on your own. Let Day help you find the resources you need. Schedule your appointment now or stop by the Main Library.
