    Fall Food Garden Planning

Looking to extend your gardening season into the fall? Fall food gardening is just as fun as the spring and summer, and you get to grow food that tolerates the cool weather and even overwinter them too! Join us for a Fall Food Garden Planning workshop, where we'll cover what to plant, when to plant, and how to care for your fall garden. You'll go home with all the information you need to get started planning and planting your own fall food garden.

Can’t attend in-person? Register for the Zoom link at bit.ly/FPL-Events by July 19.

    ABOUT OUR SPEAKER

Safiyat Hamiss’ love for gardening began on vacation in Ghana, West Africa, where she learned to grow food with her family right before the rainy season. Since then, she has had a passion for growing food and educating families in her community on the benefits of having a kitchen garden. Her business, called Tasty Harvests, is a kitchen garden consulting firm based in Framingham, Massachusetts, specializing in kitchen/food gardening in the MetroWest MA area. She has coached and educated new gardeners in Framingham and beyond as a certified Gardenary Consultant and Garden Designer with Gardenary - a garden coach society.  She also developed after-school garden programs in her community to help kids learn how to grow food throughout the year. When she isn't designing and installing gardens or working with kids, you can find her at home harvesting her own veggies, developing recipes & cooking tasty meals, and being a full-time mom to her three boys.
