This Women’s History Month, FPL is proud to present a new community project: The Framingham Public Library Suffrage Cookbook. Inspired by the Suffrage Cookbooks of the 19th and 20th centuries, which were used by suffragists to drum up financial and popular backing for their movement, this cookbook will contain recipes suffrages as well as short reflections on what women having the vote means to folks in our community. The completed project will debut in August in time for the anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment.
