Teen Workshop Double Feature - Immersive Language Study Scholarship & College Prep Information
We’ll be hosting a double workshop on Saturday the 16th of September. First up, Rahul and Rohan Krishnan will share their immersive travel and language study experiences through the National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y). Then, Emilia Gordon will be talking about the need for college coaching and planning. Both will be sticking around for questions after their talks.
This is a chance for students and parents to come together and learn more about some great opportunities!
Registration isn't required, but we would appreciate it if you would, so that we have an estimate of how many people will be there. To do so, fill out the form at the bottom of the page.
NSLI-Y Workshop
In this presentation, Rahul and Rohan Krishnan will share their experiences with this program. Last summer, Rahul traveled to Xiamen, China and pursued a complete immersion language learning in Mandarin. He also stayed with a host family for two weeks. This summer, Rohan traveled to Morocco to learn Arabic as part of the same program. Rahul and Rohan would like to share their experiences about the program including the application and selection process, how to prepare for the interview, application deadlines, host family experiences etc. It was easily one of the best experiences in their lives and they want to bring more awareness about such a great program to the rest of the Massachusetts community.
