Brinca Piranga presents the Boi Olhos Azuis

The ox is a very important figure in many popular festivals in Brazil, and the Bumba-meu-boi from Maranhão takes place during the Festas Juninas season. Brinca Piranga is honored to bring the Boi Olhos Azuis ("Blue-Eyed Ox") to Framingham. We invite all ages to come learn how to sing a toada de boi (ox chant), play the matraca (traditional percussion instrument), and dance along with the ox in this joyful celebration of a sovereign Brazil's Independence Day. Brazilian Consul General Mourão will open the festivities!
