Come sing and play with words, rhyme and puppets at Baby Lapsit. Parents can network while babies pick up phonological awareness, one of six foundations of future reading success. This informal program for babies and their parents/caregivers runs about 20 minutes and introduces the pleasures of the library to your baby or toddler.

Join fitness instructor Laila Vehvilanen to awaken your body with a series of stretches and meditation. The class is designed to reduce morning stiffness, increase flexibility and improve joint range of motion.
If you need help with health insurance, finding shelter or housing, and other basic services, you can talk to SMOC staff in private every Tuesday (except the second Tuesday of the month) at the Main Library. All conversations are free and confidential.

Gariné Arakelian from DuckieSoaps will be teaching Framingham teens how to design and make their own soap. Each participant will make their own soapy creations using white and clear glycerin soap, and a variety of templates to create the shapes. This is the second of our Make It! program series focusing on art and creativity.

Drop-in or join the group as we discuss and discover the many ways to journal for personal growth and enrichment.
Led by Alan Feldman, Professor Emeritus at Framingham State University
This drop-in class welcomes serious poets of all ages and levels of experience who would like to participate for one or more sessions. We begin with a discussion of a topic in poetry leading to a brief in-class assignment. Poets who wish to have their work discussed should bring copies.
Alan’s collection, Immortality, was awarded the Massachusetts Book Award for Poetry in 2016.
