Volunteer with Us
Are you interested in helping an adult student learn to speak English? We offer an 18-hour training course taught by certified Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts (LVM) trainers. The schedule for our upcoming information sessions and tutuor trainings is outlined below. At the end of the training, you will be matched with a student and the fun begins! Literacy and language are lifesaving skills you can impart to a student to help them succeed. You do not need to be bilingual or have a teaching background to become a tutor with Literacy Unlimited.

Upcoming Volunteer Information Sessions
Wednesday, December 10th, 6pm - Zoom - register here
Interested in learning more about our program and how you can get involved? Join Literacy Unlimited Coordinator Martha Coleman for an online volunteer information session on December 10th to learn about our free tutor training course and discover how you can help promote language and literacy skills for adults in Framingham and beyond. No prior teaching experience or foreign language skills required.
We ask all prospective volunteers to attend an information session or speak directly with a Literacy Unlimited staff member prior to registering for our tutor training. If you are unable to attend the upcoming information session, but would like to learn more about the program, please contact us directly at fplmail4@minlib.net or call us at (508)532-5574.
