Make It! Henna Tattooing - REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Diwali is coming up on October 27th, so let’s celebrate a little early with Manisha Trivedi from Henna Cafe! She’ll be going over the history, culture, and science of henna tattooing, along with the fundamentals of Indian, African, and Moroccan designs, with plenty of time for participants to practice and draw on their own mehndi!
REGISTRATION REQUIRED. If you would like to register, click on the event listing and fill out the form at the bottom of the page. When doing so, please put the grade of the person/people attending in the "Message" box, as well as the names of any additional registrants.

Led by Alan Feldman, Professor Emeritus at Framingham State University
This drop-in class welcomes serious poets of all ages and levels of experience who would like to participate for one or more sessions. We begin with a discussion of a topic in poetry leading to a brief in-class assignment. Poets who wish to have their work discussed should bring copies.
Alan’s collection, Immortality, was awarded the Massachusetts Book Award for Poetry in 2016.
Storywalk (every day through November 15)
Take a self-guided walk around the library to read our fall title, Creepy Carrots by Aaron Reynolds! Start at the bottom of the Pearl St. ramp, continue around the building, up the Lexington St. steps, then halfway down the ramp to the stairs to the Reading Garden and the end of the story.
