Drop-in Knitting

Unwind with your knitting and your crocheting at the library!  Share tips, conversation, and a love of making. Drop in for a little while or for the whole time. Instruction is provided if needed. Bring your own materials, although we do have some tools to get you started. 

Meets every Wednesday and the second and fourth Saturday of the month.

Interested in knitting on round needles but are a bit intimidated? Now is your chance! In this workshop you will learn to use round needles to make a basic hat. Supplies provided. Must be able to knit and purl.

Ages 2-5.

Participate with your preschooler in fun and engaging sensory stations known to stimulate both language and play. Chat with pediatric speech and occupational therapists to gain insight into your child’s development and learn what upcoming developmental milestones to expect.

Take a self-guided walk around the library to read our fall title, Creepy Carrots by Aaron Reynolds! Start at the bottom of the Pearl St. ramp, continue around the building, up the Lexington St. steps, then halfway down the ramp to the stairs to the Reading Garden and the end of the story.
