Take and Make Kit: 3D Puzzle Foam Animals

Make a puzzle out of foam pieces to create a surprise 3D animal. All materials are provided in a kit available for curbside pickup starting October 6. Supplies are limited. Ages 5-12. Please register at https://tinyurl.com/AnimalPuzzle and schedule a time to pick up your kit. This program is paid for by the Framingham Cultural Council and through the Mass Cultural Council.

Pop Up Browsing for Kids (All Ages)

Join us for a socially distanced, masked and hand disinfected  outdoor browse of some Children’s Books—Graphic Novels, Picture Books, Easy Readers, Chapter Books, Halloween books, even nonfiction for school reports--and pick your own!! Library staff will be on hand to answer questions and help you make selections. Once you've picked an item (or more!!), we'll check the book out using our mobile library setup. Let’s jump into the new school year with the support of books from your local library!

Join Dana, your children's librarian, as he poses some live Lego challenges with a Halloween theme!  Participants will use their Lego blocks to design some creations such as monsters and spooky environments to show off their Lego building imagination and skill!

Please note: Lego bags are available if needed, but please feel free to use your own for this challenge.  If Legos are needed, call the library starting October 1st to arrange pickup of your bag of Legos for the challenge.

Pop Up Art Presents: Peekaboo Kitty in Pumpkin Painting Class

Join Pop Up Art School live on Zoom at 12:00pm on October 22 to paint a black kitty peeking out from inside a jack-o'-lantern. More treat than trick; you'll paint with acrylic paints on a pre drawn canvas panel. Kit included with all the supplies you need. Kits are limited. Ages 8 -12. Goldfish Swim School Presents: W.A.T.E.R. Safety

Join the Goldfish Swim School as their team of water safety and early childhood experts teach families about water safety and drowning prevention, based on the principles taught by the Safer 3 Water Safety Foundation. This fun and interactive program introduces kids to the concept of water safety and helping them learn safety methods to avoid potential dangers in and around the water, educates children about the importance of water safety and ways to handle water crisis situations, and provides materials and information to your students and you in an effort to prevent water-related accidents!

Please register for the program by emailing mcauliffechildrensroom@gmail.com and to schedule a time to pick up your take-home goody bag that includes a free Family Swim pass, a safety-related coloring sheet, temporary tattoos, and information for their parents about what they learned during the program to help reinforce the skills at home. Goody bag pickup begins October 16th.

Join Mr. Dana and Miss Jill as they offer a live, outdoor StoryWalk at the Framingham Public Library!  Come in costume and enjoy some spooky fun, including the Halloween StoryWalk and a parade around the library!
