To celebrate AAPI Month, we’re making Koinobori! Koinobori, meaning 'carp streamer' in Japanese, are carp-shaped windsocks traditionally flown in Japan to celebrate Tango no sekku, a traditional calendrical event which is now designated as Children's Day, a national holiday in Japan. Ages 5+

From the Mathila region of India and Nepal, Madhubani painting has been practiced for centuries primarily by women. Madhubani artists use natural resources such as flowers and vegetables to create their own vibrant colors to portray religious, social and natural imagery. Come join us as we paint the national bird of India!
