Lunchtime Learning Series: South American Myths & Cosmology: A Focus on Food
A presentation of Pre-Colombian stories of cosmic agriculture, resource management and geographic expansion from the Andes Mountain region.
Focused mainly on the Inca Empire (modern day Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Ecuador) and its predecessors, this talk will be accompanied by original paintings illustrating scenes of Andean laborers, their duties and their deities. Presented by local artist—and Framingham Library’s own!—Samela St. Pierre.
