The International Institute of Boston (IIB) works to increase refugees' and immigrants' access to services needed in the resettlement process. Legal assistance with green cards, citizenship, deportation, asylum, reunification, certain other immigration issues is available at the rate of $35 for 30 minutes. Other services include job placement services, financial and small-business assistance, and English classes. Many languages spoken.

Assistance (including application help, English and civics training) to legal immigrants in the citizenship process. Their New American program assists people from the former Soviet Union, from their initial resettlement in the community through their citizenship. Five levels of English classes are offered for Russian-speaking senior citizens. The Russian Youth Enrichment Program offers Russian-language classes, story hours, art classes, and more.

Provides free assistance to legal permanent residents who seek to become U.S. citizens. Project Citizenship and its partner organizations offer regular citizenship workshops in Massachusetts (including Framingham.) In addition, Project Citizenship partner organizations civics and English instruction.
Immigration and Citizenship Forms
You can call the INS Forms Request Line at 1-800-870-3676. Leave the name and number of the form that you want, your name, and your mailing address. Many forms are available on the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services website, www.uscis.gov. Select Forms.
Document Translation
There is no central place where documents can be easily translated. Sometimes the public schools have lists of people who can translate documents. The consulate from your country may be able to do translation for a fee. There are a number of nationality-based religious groups that can assist you in finding a translator.
