Jewish Family Services of MetroWest

Operates a Refugee and Asylee Resettlement Program as well as Citizenship Assistance (including application help, English and civics training) for legal immigrants going through the citizenship process. Their New American program assists people from the former Soviet Union, from their initial resettlement in the community through their citizenship. Five levels of English classes are offered for Russian-speaking senior citizens. The Russian Youth Enrichmant Program offers Russian-language classes, story hours, art classes, and more.

Provides free assistance to legal permanent residents who seek to become U.S. citizens. Project Citizenship and its partner organizations offer regular citizenship workshops in Massachusetts (including Framingham.) In addition, Project Citizenship partner organizations civics and English instruction.
Immigration and Citizenship Forms
Many forms are available on the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services website. Select Forms. A Reference librarian can also assist you in locating and printing specific forms.
Document Translation
There is no central place where documents can be easily translated. Sometimes the public schools have lists of people who can translate documents. The consulate from your country may be able to do translation for a fee The International Institute of Boston provides document and website translation services for a fee. Visit their Translation Services page HERE.
Free translation and interpretation assistance for school related documents and services are available to families with children enrolled in the Framingham Public School System through the FPS Translation Office.
There are also a number of nationality-based religious groups that can assist you in finding a translator.

A reference librarian can help you find the number for your consulate office. Call or visit either library for assistance.
