Where does our food come from? How did it get here? In this unit, students will explore the many facets of agriculture and the food we eat every day. The younger grades will make connections to plant parts and inherited traits, while older grades will tinker with ways to improve our agricultural systems and make connections to the history of New England farming.
And, of course, all grades will get to taste-test some farm fresh fruits and veggies! Grades PreK-5

Presented by Jim Carroll. On December 29, 1940 President Roosevelt addresses the nation with one of his famous fireside chats, "Great Arsenal of Democracy". Almost a year later Pearl Harbor is attacked, and the United States enters World War 2. President Roosevelt called upon our industry to prepare for defense of the nation. When the US declared war on Japan and Germany by February 1942 America's industry had switched to war production virtually overnight.
