Kids Chess Club
This Chess Club is an informal group welcoming everyone from new players to junior chess masters! Chess boards are provided, but you can bring your own. Staff are available to help with questions, but will not be teaching chess. For Elementary and Middle School students.

Alphabet Soup: Queer Teen Hangout
A twice monthly meeting for LGBTQIA+ and allied teens to hang out and do crafts. On the first Thursday, we’ll be at the Main Library, and on the third Thursday, we’ll meet at the McAuliffe Branch.

Spooktastic Book Fair 2025
Author and Spooktastic creator Alyssa Alessi (@pagesinthegraveyard) brings the third annual Spooktastic Book FairTM to haunt the Framingham Public Library on Saturday, September 13th! We'll be hosting 60+ authors ranging from creepy kidlit to adult horror, six publishers, several vendors of interesting and mysterious items, food trucks, and a brewery! Save the date and start off Spooky Season right!

Mask Making w/ Ira Marcks
As part of our Spooktastic Book Fair, cartoonist Ira Marcks (author of Spirit Week, and MA Children’s Book Award nominee Shark Summer), will teach kids and teens how to make spooky masks in the spirit of classic horror film special makeup effects!
This is a drop in program running all day, with no registration required.

Spark Lab Saturdays: Suminagashi Bookmarks
Learn the art of Suminagashi, a Japanese marbling technique, meaning "floating ink," where ink is dropped onto the surface of water to create swirling patterns and then transferred to paper or fabric. Space is limited. Ages 8 through Adult!
