McAuliffe Matinee: The Finest Hours
In February of 1952, one of the worst storms to ever hit the East Coast struck New England, damaging an oil tanker off the coast of Cape Cod and literally ripping it in half. On a small lifeboat faced with frigid temperatures and 70-foot high waves, four members of the Coast Guard set out to rescue the more than 30 stranded sailors trapped aboard the rapidly-sinking vessel. Air Dry Clay Workshop
Update: Supplies limited. Registration tickets available at the children’s desk starting at 1:00pm. Please attend both sessions. Ages 8+
Wednesday, Feb. 19, 1:30-2:30: Craft your clay piece and leave it at the library to dry.
Thursday, Feb. 20, 1:30-2:30: Paint your piece and take it home. You will not be able to make a clay piece during this session.
Minecraft Hangout
Once you’ve signed up for the server, you’ll be able to use it whenever you want. But if you want to build when you know there will be other people on too, join us every Wednesday from 2:30-4:00 PM. We can chat, work on group builds, and/or explore the map together.
