In honor of Black History Month, we are creating our own sculptures in memory of Meta Vaux Warrick Fuller, Framingham native and an African-American artist who participated in the Harlem Renaissance. With air dry clay, let your imagination fly!

For Lewis and Wren, their first year of marriage is also their last. Lifelong Learning Lecture: What Would Lincoln Do? Division in American Political Life
Sometimes it is easy to imagine the divisions in our nation’s political life are unprecedented; however, the nation has faced divisive times before and has found ways to address these divisions which have allowed the American republic to not only survive but thrive.
In this talk, we explore one of those moments of division and learn from the leadership of Abraham Lincoln in addressing, and ultimately resolving, the divisions of his time as a guide for solutions for ours.

McAuliffe Matinee: The Finest Hours
In February of 1952, one of the worst storms to ever hit the East Coast struck New England, damaging an oil tanker off the coast of Cape Cod and literally ripping it in half. On a small lifeboat faced with frigid temperatures and 70-foot high waves, four members of the Coast Guard set out to rescue the more than 30 stranded sailors trapped aboard the rapidly-sinking vessel. AARP Tax Assistance (by appointment only)
IRS trained and certified AARP tax volunteers will be available to prepare your 2024 Federal and State Income tax returns. This program is designed to assist all people of low to middle income with special attention given to those aged 60 and older. This is a free program and volunteers are unable to process complex returns. Artist Talk: The Miniatures of Abraham Megerdichian
Abraham Megerdichian was a machinist who made aircraft engine parts. In his free time, he re-machined scrap metal into his miniature interpretations of everyday objects, which he gave away to family and friends over a period of thirty years. Join his son, Robert, for a presentation about his father’s fascinating life and art.
A selection of Abe’s over-400 objects will be on display at the Main Library February 15 - 27.
Lifelong Learning Lecture: Lord Byron: Still Worth Reading
Though his poetry is not often taught nowadays, in this 200th anniversary of his death in 1824, it’s a good time to celebrate his considerable talent.
Join Dr. Helen Heineman, President Emerita of Framingham State University, to examine Lord Byron’s short life and lasting work.
