In this talk, we explore one of those moments of division and learn from the leadership of Abraham Lincoln in addressing, and ultimately resolving, the divisions of his time as a guide for solutions for ours.

In February of 1952, one of the worst storms to ever hit the East Coast struck New England, damaging an oil tanker off the coast of Cape Cod and literally ripping it in half. On a small lifeboat faced with frigid temperatures and 70-foot high waves, four members of the Coast Guard set out to rescue the more than 30 stranded sailors trapped aboard the rapidly-sinking vessel. (PG-13, 2016, 1h 57m)

IRS trained and certified AARP tax volunteers will be available to prepare your 2024 Federal and State Income tax returns. This program is designed to assist all people of low to middle income with special attention given to those aged 60 and older. This is a free program and volunteers are unable to process complex returns. Artist Talk: The Miniatures of Abraham Megerdichian

Abraham Megerdichian was a machinist who made aircraft engine parts. In his free time, he re-machined scrap metal into his miniature interpretations of everyday objects, which he gave away to family and friends over a period of thirty years. Join his son, Robert, for a presentation about his father’s fascinating life and art.

A selection of Abe’s over-400 objects will be on display at the Main Library February 15 - 27.
