A variety of programs will be highlighted, and a detailed resource guide will be provided.

Since April of 2016, Alison has been the Outreach Director for Home Helpers, a fully licensed, insured and bonded home care agency providing compassionate and reliable care to elders throughout the Boston MetroWest area. Prior to joining Home Helpers, Alison worked in marketing for global software organizations. Alison holds a degree in Psychology from Syracuse University.

Jane Austen died in 1817, leaving behind a legacy of six of the most important and interesting novels in the English language.This talk will focus on the innovative elements of Austen’s writing as she broke new ground for the 19th century novel and how these inventions still resonate today.

This free lecture series is a partnership of Framingham State University and Framingham Public Library. The series is sponsored by a grant from The Joseph L. and Ray L. Freund Foundation, courtesy of Elizabeth F. Fideler.

In our lobby you will find a large selection of Summer Reads from some of your favorite authors both hard cover and trade paperback at $2.00 each.

Because of your continued support of the Friends, we are able to provide free movies, concerts, programs, museum passes, audio books, CDs, Children’s Room apps, and many other services to patrons and the Framingham community.

Donations are gratefully accepted and may be brought in the day of sale or made at the library during the week.

We started off AniManga Club in January with trivia, and over that last few months we've watched lots of different shows. This month, with the school year in the rear view mirror, we're going to watch the biggest anime movie in the world! Your Name (Kimi no Na wa) dethroned the previous title holder Spirited Away in 2016 when it make over $350 million in theaters around the world. Kick-off the Adult Summer Reading Program with a day chock-full of fun activities!  Bring your family and friends along.

10am-1pm, J Craft Room: Create an inspirational “Libraries Rock!” to take home. River rocks and paint markers supplied, you bring the inspiration and your love of libraries.

1-3pm, Costin Room: Open Mic performances by students of Centre Music House.

10am-4pm:

  • Stamp Scavenger Hunt. Take a stroll around the library and visit each of our specially marked displays. Collect all ten stamps for an extra chance to win a weekly prize or the grand prize.
  • Enter the "Best Book I ever Read" raffle for a chance to win a gift certificate to a Friends book sale.
  • Complete a library inspired word game for an extra chance to win a weekly prize or the grand prize.

The Framingham Public Library is pleased to partner with Centre Music House to build community relationships through our programs.
