Come sing and play with words, rhyme and puppets at Baby Lapsit. Parents can network while babies pick up phonological awareness, one of six foundations of future reading success. This informal program for babies and their parents/caregivers runs about 20 minutes and introduces the pleasures of the library to your baby or toddler.

Ages 0-2 with an adult.

Southern Rail's performances are high-energy exuberant fun, with riveting harmonies, irrepressible humor and sparkling banjo, mandolin, and guitar solo work. Over the years, Southern Rail's recordings have graced Bluegrass Unlimited's Top Thirty Singles Chart for a combined total of 32 months, climbing to #11. Southern Rail has been selected by the New England Foundation for the Arts to be included in their prestigious Touring Roster and two band members have just been inducted into the RIBA Bluegrass Hall of Fame!

Kawaii means “cute” in Japanese. This summer we’re extending our usual AniManga Club to include a craft where you’ll get to hand sew your own adorable buddy! Don't normally come to AniManga Club? Doesn't matter, come craft with us! Will your new kawaii friend be a happy cloud? Maybe a friendly slice of pizza, or an adorable panda? The choice is yours.

Registration isn’t required, but we’d love it if you would so we know how much material we’ll need. Click on the event listing or poster and fill out the form at the bottom of the page. When doing so, please put the grade of the person/people attending in the "Message" box, as well as the names of any additional registrants.

Learn about and investigate touch tanks that represent New England’s three coastal habitats. Compare and contrast the habitats as well as observing the types of animals that are found in each one. Live marine animals!

McAuliffe Matinee: The Kid

In this thrilling Western, young Rio goes on the run across the American Southwest, desperate to save his sister from his villainous uncle. He encounters Sheriff Pat Garrett, on the hunt for the infamous Billy the Kid, and finds himself increasingly entwined in the lives of these two legendary figures.
