Join us for a presentation of Pre-Colombian myths, legends, and deities from the Andes Mountain region with artist Samela St. Pierre. Focused mainly on the Inca Empire and its predecessors, this talk will be accompanied by the speaker’s original paintings illustrating the scenes of gods, goddesses, and legendary heroes.

Framingham’s Wallace Nutting was America’s foremost photographer during the early 20th c. and between 1900 and his death in 1941, Nutting sold more than 5,000,000 of his hand-colored photographs to America. He also authored 10 books, reproduced some of the finest early American Furniture ever produced, and his memorabilia has been widely collected for the past 60 years. Mike Ivankovich, noted Nutting author and auctioneer, will take us through Wallace Nutting’s accomplishments, and much more, in this special Framingham Public Library Program.
MIKE’s BIO: Mike Ivankovich has been involved in some phase of Wallace Nutting for nearly 50 years. He is a frequent lecturer and spoken before groups too numerous to list. He has authored more than 10 books and eBooks in this area, and has written articles and columns for most major national trade papers. He and his wife Sue ran Wallace Nutting Specialty Auctions for nearly 30 years. He is also the host of the “What’s It Worth? Ask Mike the Appraiser” Radio Show that airs every Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 AM on WBCB 1490 AM in Philadelphia PA. Mike is also a professional GPPA & MPPA Appraiser specializing in Appraisals for Estate, Insurance, Inheritance, Divorce, Insurance Claim, Non-Cash Charitable Donation, or other legal purposes. As a Pennsylvania Auctioneer, he has been named Pennsylvania's “Auctioneer of the Year” by fellow Auctioneers.
