This Chess Club is an informal group welcoming everyone from new players to junior chess masters! Chess boards are provided, but you can bring your own. Staff are available to help with questions, but will not be teaching chess. For Elementary and Middle School students.

All stops are accessible by MWTA busses. If traveling by MWTA bus, notify driver along route by park to stop.

One Up Games brings a walkable/playable museum to the library! Learn about how Nintendo started and see how the iconic console evolved to where it is today. All Nintendo systems from NES to Switch are available to play throughout the exhibit on old-school CRT TVs. At the end of the exhibit, players will have the chance to play all the OG Nintendo games on Switch emulators. All Ages.

Engineer a drip irrigation system and sprout a love of botany and physics! Construct the water tower and trellis, set up the planter pots, then grow your own bean, wheatgrass, and watermelon plants.

Materials limited. Ages 8-12

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Framingham Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

A new Book Festival is coming to Framingham this summer! The first annual Dark Summer Book Fest invades the Framingham Public Library on Saturday, August 8th, 2026.

This one's for all the dark fiction lovers, whether your particular interest is crime fiction, romance, horror, fantasy, literary fiction, sci-fi, or any number of other things! There will be authors and books for all ages, from picture books to monster romance lovers.
